Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Bolt Deals collects when you visit boltdeals.io or contact us, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
1. Who we are
Bolt Deals is a marketing agency based in Austin, Texas that generates exclusive motivated-seller leads for real estate wholesalers and investors. In this policy, "Bolt Deals," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Bolt Deals. "You" refers to anyone who visits our website or contacts us. The data controller responsible for your information is Bolt Deals, reachable at benjamin@boltdeals.io.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you book a call or submit a form on our site, you provide information directly. Our booking form is powered by Typeform and typically asks for your name, email address, phone number, and details about your business (such as your market, monthly volume, and goals), plus anything else you choose to type. You only share this if you fill out and submit the form. If you email us, we receive whatever you include in that message.
Marketing attribution collected automatically
So we know which ad or channel brought you to us, our site records marketing-source information in your browser's local storage and attaches it to a form only if and when you submit one. This includes:
- Campaign tags in the link you arrived from (UTM source, medium, campaign, term, and content)
- Ad-click identifiers from advertising platforms, such as Google (gclid), Meta/Facebook (fbclid), TikTok (ttclid), Microsoft (msclkid), and LinkedIn (li_fat_id)
- The website that referred you and the first page you landed on
- A randomly generated visitor ID that helps us connect your visit to your form submission (it is not your name and does not identify you on its own)
This attribution data is stored under a key named bolt_attr in your browser. It stays on your device and is only sent to us when you submit a form.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use the Meta Pixel (from Meta Platforms, Inc.). When it loads, it sets cookies and collects information about your visit, such as pages viewed and actions taken, and reports that activity to Meta so we can measure our advertising and show relevant ads. We may also use analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site. These tools may set their own cookies and collect device and usage information (for example, approximate location, browser type, and pages viewed). You can control cookies through your browser settings and the opt-out links in the "Advertising and retargeting" section below.
3. How we use your information
- Respond to your inquiry, schedule and prepare for calls, and provide our services
- Understand which marketing channels work so we can measure and improve our advertising
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and content
- Communicate with you about your request, our services, and, where permitted, relevant updates
- Protect against fraud and misuse, and comply with our legal obligations
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:
- Service providers who help us run our business, under agreements that limit their use of your data, including Typeform (form collection), and analytics and advertising providers such as Meta, Google, and Microsoft
- Advertising partners, to measure ad performance and reach relevant audiences (see below)
- Legal and safety reasons, if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public
- Business transfers, if Bolt Deals is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be part of the transferred assets
5. Advertising and retargeting
We advertise on platforms like Meta and Google and use tools such as the Meta Pixel to measure results and show ads to people who have visited our site. You can limit or opt out of interest-based advertising here:
- Meta ad preferences: facebook.com/adpreferences and Off-Facebook activity in your Facebook settings
- Google ad settings: adssettings.google.com
- Industry opt-outs: optout.aboutads.info (DAA) and optout.networkadvertising.org (NAI)
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and you can enable a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor where required
6. How long we keep it
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to you and provide our services, and afterward only as long as we have a legitimate business or legal reason to do so. Attribution data in your browser stays until you clear your browser's local storage. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Texas, and other U.S. states, as well as individuals in the EU and UK (GDPR), have these or similar rights. To exercise any of them, email benjamin@boltdeals.io. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. You may also authorize someone to make a request on your behalf.
8. Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. We have a dedicated page with step-by-step instructions: Data Deletion Instructions. In short, email benjamin@boltdeals.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request," and we will remove your information and confirm within 30 days.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, and our site is served over encrypted HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to limit who can access it.
10. Children
Our website and services are intended for business owners and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on this page. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
